You cowpokes * are invited to this year’s big summer dance party event.
Plan on spending the better part of day so
that you can enjoy the afternoon BBQ and evening dancing. We’ll hang out
and play until we get hungry and fire up the BBQ around 6 pm. The
1200 sq ft dance hall is open,
so figure on bringing your boots and hat for some cowboy dancing that night.
Again, this year, there is a limit of 7 to the number of clothes changes you city
cowboys can bring.
Please bring your favorite dish to share (POTLUCK!!!).
I'll have the basic starter goodies of chicken, dogs, and pop. If you drink, please be responsible and have
a designated driver if you're headed home afterwards. I'll be
more than glad to conduct sobriety tests on anyone even remotely looking
like he can be take advantage of. Those cowboys clearly not able to run
fast enough will be put into the slammer, where the things that'll make Lon Mabon stay awake at night may come true.
If you wish to spend the night, bring along
your tent for some cowboy camping out back. Can't do trailers, so all you
girls will have to rough it.
We’ll have a cowboy breakfast the next morning (figure on late
morning).
Let me know in advance if you're up for
this, so I'll know the magnitude of the effort to whip up a mess of cowboy grub and coffee.
Please car pool if you possible can. Parking is always a problem with all those
big 1 ton rigs you guys drive. Dogs are
best left at home as they can't be running around amongst the guests.
However, if you must, I do have 2 large kennels that they can safely be at
home and run around (additional note about dogs by popular demand... if it
is likely to be barking a lot, don't even think about bringing it as it
is very disruptive to the guests).
